Ivan "SIR IVAN" Bolognese

Vicenza / North East of Italy. Bassangler.

I’m from Italy, specifically Lendinara, a small city nestled between the Po and Adige rivers. My journey into the world of fishing began at a very young age. When I was just six years old, I caught my first pike, an experience that ignited a lifelong passion. In my family, only my father had a slight interest in fishing, but he quickly saw how much I loved it. To support my growing enthusiasm, he bought me my first spinning rod when I was 12 years old.

At 12, I began using a one-piece spinning rod, which marked the start of my journey into bass fishing. By the time I turned 16, I was already using a belly boat, but without a car of my own, I relied on traveling and fishing with many of Italy’s dedicated bass anglers.

At 19, I completed my studies in economics and started university, pursuing a degree in physiotherapy. However, my passion for fishing was far greater than my interest in academics, so I chose to follow my heart. I traveled all across Italy, exploring various fishing techniques and working with numerous brands from the United States and Japan.

Over the years, I went through nine different belly boats, but in 2016, I finally found my perfect match when I discovered Seven Bass Design. Since then, I’ve been using their Jungle Operator, Flatform, and Armada models. What drew me to Seven Bass wasn’t just the quality of their products but also the incredible people behind the brand, like Sebastian, his family, and their dedicated staff.

I’ve recently moved to Belluno, close to the Alps, surrounded by alpine lakes and rivers. This year, I’m planning to participate in the bass fishing boat championship with Juri Bianchini, and I’m eager to target big pike and trout in the alpine lakes.

I look forward to seeing you on the water, my friend.
